What's my story

About me

I was born and raised in the central European city of Prague, in the Czech Republic.
Since young age, I've had a special interest for computers and technology.
I've enjoyed building my own custom computer rigs, as well as exploring different programs and gadgets.

In 2019, I and my wife decided to immigrate to Toronto, Canada to begin a new chapter of our lives. In 2024 I became a proud naturalized Canadian citizen.

As of March 2024, I live in Ottawa, Ontario.

My education and experience

I have studied Computer Systems Technician program at Seneca Polytechnic in Toronto, where I got my Ontario College Diploma.
In addition to that, I have passed my Microsoft Azure certification and I'm currently working on obtaining other certifications in the networking, cloud and SysAdmin fields.

Network - Cloud and System Admin

Proficient in utilizing a wide array of tools and technologies, server OS administration (Windows Server, RHEL, Ubuntu), VMware and KVM Hypervisors, Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Cisco IOS, networking and subnetting.

I also have hands-on experience with containerization (Docker), and good knowledge of working with Python, PowerShell and SQL languages.

My hobbies

Technology!

I love learning and playing with new gadgets, especially computer components, networking gear, consoles, audio-video, etc.

I also have a small server HomeLab where I tinker with various stuff.

Exploring the world

I have travelled most of Europe and bit of North America. I love the nature that Canada offers and love to spend weekends outdoors or relaxing in the countryside.
